Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. To see carrier quotes, the tool requests gender, age, your health in simple terms, whether you smoke, the coverage amount you want, and the term length. Those six pieces of information alone are enough. Your full name, address, and detailed health information are only requested if you choose to proceed with an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The prices you see are the rates each carrier quoted for the health class you indicated. Underwriting by the carrier after application may confirm, improve, or adjust your class. Everything here is for reference and carries no guarantees of cost, eligibility, or coverage.

What happens when I click Apply?

Your name is collected, and the application is built from the specific quote you selected. You then continue in the carriers' secure application environment. You can save and come back to it, and signing happens online. The application flows through Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129).

Will I need a medical exam?

It varies—depends on the carrier, the amount you're applying for, and what you report in your answers. Some carriers offer same-day decisions for applicants who qualify for accelerated approval; other products require an exam. Your quote lists the exam status for each option.

Is a longer term better?

A term should match the years when losing your income would strain your family: a mortgage payment, school costs, a business loan, or a young child still depending on you. Longer terms lock in your rate for more years but cost more per month. The tool lets you compare a 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, or 30-year term side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool doesn't ask for contact info, we don't trade or share visitor information, and our analytics don't use cookies. Visit the privacy page for the complete list of what we gather and how it's used.
